« The Goldberg Sisters » (Play It Again Sam)
俳優Adam Goldberg率いるThe Goldberg Sistersのデビューアルバムから。サイケデリック・ポップと70年代のフォーク、カリフォルニア・ロード・トリップの雰囲気をを感じさせる作品。
Hugely gifted and uncommonly versatile, Adam Goldberg unveils his incomparable gift for melody in the stunning debut album from his group The Goldberg Sisters, combining psychedelic pop and 70s folk with the overall feel of a classic Californian road trip.
Born in Santa Monica, CA on 25 October 1970, Adam Goldberg is a man of many talents: an actor, a producer, a film director, a screenwriter, a musician and a photographer: a sort of tattooed Woody Allen, exploring existential issues in full-length feature films.
A jack-of-all trades with an inquisitive streak, his first major film role was as Billy Crystal’s brother-in-law in Mr. Saturday Night (1992).
Goldberg’s time is divided between television (Friends, The Street, Entourage) and the cinema, which often seems to be where his star shines brightest – in Julie Delpy’s Two days in Paris, for example, or David Fincher’s Zodiac.
However, many people are unaware that Goldberg is also a musician. In point of fact he composed and arranged the soundtrack to his second feature film, I Love Your Work, in collaboration with Steven Drozd, drummer with psychedelic alt-rockers The Flaming Lips. Now, in The Goldberg Sisters, he has created a mad, brilliant album with a touch of psychedelia in its own right.
